The Legacy Continues
Carmody McKnight’s journey from an upstart wine curiosity in a small cattle town called Paso Robles to an esteemed luxury wine and art brand is nothing short of high drama. Few luxury wines unveil such an illustrious course and an illuminating narrative that has evolved through the most profound creative and personal experience.
Passion
It all begins with a romantic interlude when a beautiful and brilliant Miss America meets an artist turning actor at UCLA. The Conway family grew into the experience and intrinsically understood that the core of existence, indeed, human essence draws from such a halcyon setting. Significantly for Gary, a life-long accomplished artist, the art spirit seemed ever-glowing in this West Paso Robles vineyard paradise. Without the presence of the landscape that encompasses and nurtures, giving us the divine sense of place.
wines and art that enrich the soul emerge from thriving natural environment.

Epoch
In the late sixties Gary Conway discovered, via a helicopter crash landing, and fell in love with a broken down 320 acre ranch. The first few chapters of this family story have been memorialized in a critically acclaimed book, Art of the Vineyard. Through stunning paintings by Gary, the Conway country sojourn was published by the prestigious Journey Editions of the Charles E. Tuttle Company…which became an early best-seller.
Reviews
In the review in Booklist, perhaps the most significant in the publishing industry, and as with other reviews — the praise was lavish: “vivid, nearly neon color palette…the images demonstrate the human capacity to love, desire, create, and persevere…a rendering of Conway’s passion.”
vision
From horses to fruit to wine, nature’s rich palette seduces Conway and is sure to seduce readers, collectors and wine enthusiasts.
Art of the Vineyard cultivates a narrative that is sure to be a bountiful harvest for all who have enjoyed its plenty.
